Precautions
Some evidence suggests hawthorn should not be recommended in pregnancy or lactation. Hawthorn may have a potentiating effect on Digitalis medications which may necessitate a reduction of the drug dosage. A physician must be consulted in cases where symptoms continue unchanged for longer than six weeks or in case of swelling of the legs.
